Last Spring Break

Derek had Spring Break which started March 9th, I had plans to go to Disney on Ice- Toy Story 2 with the girls and the grand kids on Thursday the 8th which was also Audrey's 26th birthday.
Derek stayed home with Kinleigh and Jonathon. Kelly and Nicole stayed the night out to Audrey's with us a couple of nights since Chad was working nights. That was very nice of her and we had a lot of fun. Took Audrey to lunch for her birthday. We took the kids swimming at the Lehi Legacy Center, they had turns having dinner at their houses eachnight, went out to eat a few times. Tried PF Changs with Adam and Keri and it was yummy, love the lettuce wraps and wontons. The boys played poker for fun and the girls played cards, of course Keri won each and every time. Celena made dinner for us one night and the boys played video games and us girls played Phase 10, who won you ask? KERI
Sam came home Tuesday so didn't see Ami much after that, so they could have their time together as a family. Did get a chance to babysit Havyn for a little bit while Ami took and nap and Sam ran to Home Depot, so that was fun. Derek enjoyed the time with his brother-in-laws as time is winding down that he graduates and then goes off to boot camp and AIT this summer for his national guard duty.
While I was there had a chance to go house hunting, found nothing that wasn't trashed, except for one real nice one in the North Harvest Hills area, put an offer on it but their were 2 offers before mine. Doubt I will get it, but that is fine it was fun to look. The only other option in that area is to build so time will tell what will happen or where we will be. Had a great time up North with the kids and grand kids.
It is a little bittersweet, this is Derek's last High School Spring Break. Oh my gosh I don't know if I am ready for this change that is about to happen in our lives. I will miss him like crazy and will want Summer to go by so fast. I pray for his safety at all times while he is in the guard. It tugs at my heart to think of him in harms way at all, but they grow quickly and that is how life is supposed to go.
On a lighter side Erwin had meetings with his company and so we took a few men that work for him out to dinner. It was fun to meet them and their wives were all very nice. Dinner was yummy. Erwin is also coming home for a week long vacation, which is a much needed time at home, with Derek and me. Looking forward to it.
When we arrrived home tonight Aleta and Alisa (and her 2 boys) were over to the Ramsay's so she invited us over for a turkey dinner, so had a fun little visit and a nice dinner.

Sorcia and Izzy's Baptism

We were blessed this week to have Sorcia and Izzy make the important decision to be baptized members of our church. Grandpa Erwin baptized Sorcia and Jonathon baptized Izzy. Adam confirmed Sorcia and Elder Holli confirmed Izzy. We also had Havyn blessed by Grandpa Erwin so that worked out great. Grandma Josie was in attendance as well as Tina and David. Their Grandma Ellen gave opening prayer. Kelly gave a talk on baptism, Keri gave hers on the Holy Ghost and they did a great job. Audrey gave the closing prayer. It was a great day, we all went to dinner afterwards. Then Kelly, Keri and Nicole came over to Audrey's and we played cards.

Well this Valentines Day was uneventful. I did get flowers and chocolates from Keri and Kelly, that made my day a little better. Audrey watched Havyn for Ami while she went to get her facial because Sam is gone to work too.
Keri got a beautiful vase of roses and cakes from Adam. Above are pictures Audrey took while watching Havyn, they are so cute.

Fun visit with the kids and celebrated Kinleigh's first birthday. Wednesday Feb. 8th my mom and I drove up north, stopped at Kelly's to visit. Keri stopped by after work and we all went to dinner at Olive Garden. Then mom and I drove to Ami's stayed the night there. She took Havyn to the doctor at 10 so we went over to Audrey's then we met Ami for lunch at Applebee's in American Fork. My mom stayed the night at Ami's and I stayed over to Audrey's because the couch was getting a little too much and I let mom sleep on Ami's futon. Friday got together with Keri, and Kelly and we all had lunch at Los Harmonos in Lindon. Audrey had to go pick up Lexi from school, Keri had errands to run, so me, Kelly, Nicole and my mom went over to Ami's. Then took Nicole with me to Audrey's so we could watch Ayden too. Keri and Adam went to dinner and a movie with friends and Kelly and Chad had a date night. Erwin got in from Elko around 10. Derek and Chase got into Spanish Fork around 8:30, went to visit Spencer and ended up out at Audrey's at 12:30.

Saturday went at 7:30 in the morning to get my hair highlighted. Got back we started getting things ready for the Birthday Party. Went to Wal-mart with Erwin to get groceries for him to take to Elko. Had a great time at the party, Erwin had to take off around 5. We all stayed after for a Scentsy Party Audrey had. Jonathon and Adam and the boys took all the kids to the church to play ball. They got back and we went to eat at Won won wok with Celena and her kids. Ami went home before we went to eat. Later ended up back at Audrey's, were gonna watch a movie but the boys played poker and everyone else stayed up to visit. I went to bed around 11:30.

Sunday woke up to snow. Waited for Chase and Derek to wake up then we decided to chance it and head home. Stopped at Ami's for a second, saw Havyn. Picked up my mom at Tina's and headed out after eating at Taco Bell real quick. The canyon was good until almost to the summit it started trying to get snow sticking to the road. Good the rest of the way until we hit La Sal, it was slushy and a truck had slid into the middle of the road, police had traffic stopped for a bit until he got going again. Peters Hill was clear and all the way into town. Maybe 3 inches had fallen before we got home. Derek and Chase were right behind us. Unpacked , watched some TV then to bed. The trip was lots of fun. Next birthday Havyn's in June.
